Stash Tea: Cinnamon Apple Chamomile Herbal Tea Review
This is my first ever actual tea review, so bear with me and feel free to tell me if I’m doing it wrong in the comments below. This is a review of Stash Tea’s Cinnamon Apple Chamomile Herbal Tea. I picked it up today and I’m writing this as I’m trying it for the first time so you’ll get my true first impression here.
I brewed it by boiling water and filling up the cup, it’s just a tea bag so it doesn’t require anything too complicated, plus it’s herbal so I wasn’t worried about making it too hot and causing it to be bitter or anything. I let it steep for 3 or 4 minutes before trying it, I left the tea bag in but you can take it out if you like, it won’t make much of a difference.
Smell: I took a good wiff of the bags before brewing this and it literally smells like an apple pie stuffed into a little sack. My mouth was watering haha. After steeping the smell is weaker and the apple smell far out weighs the cinnamon scent, but it still smells just as lovely. I would say it smells more like an apple flavored candy after steeping rather than a fresh apple.
Color: There is hibiscus in this blend, most likely just for color. It produces a beautiful deep red color and as the tea bags steep they look like they’re bleeding. I got a kick out of that. Unfortunately I didn’t get a good picture of it.
Taste: With how much this smells like apple, the flavor is actually really subtle and delicious. I can hardly taste the cinnamon at all, but I suppose you could always add in a dash on your own if you like things extra cinnamon tasting. I don’t get much of a chamomile flavor either, it’s pretty much all apple through and through. Oh, and it does not taste like an apple pie, or like an apple candy, it’s a completely different apple flavor going on here haha
Rating: 6/10 – Over all, it’s one of the better apple flavored teas that I’ve tasted, but I’m not too crazy about it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good, but it’s not amazing. I really like the smell, and I really like the color but the flavor is just not up there with those.
